Founded on May 15, 1972, the Hindu Temple Burnaby stands as one of Canada’s oldest and largest Hindu temples, officially registered as the Hindu Cultural Society and Community Centre of B.C. What began as a small prayer hall in North Burnaby has grown into a vibrant spiritual and cultural sanctuary, serving Hindus across British Columbia and beyond.

A Legacy of Devotion and Growth

As the Hindu community flourished, the need for a larger temple became evident. Inspired by the vision of our Board of Directors, a state-of-the-art temple was constructed, welcoming devotees in January 2018. Spanning 31,000 square feet, the modern Hindu Temple Burnaby accommodates up to 1,600 worshippers, offering daily puja services, religious ceremonies, and community programs that enrich lives.
