Swamiji Dr Satya Prakash

Dr. Swami Satya Prakash, an esteemed scholar and spiritual guide, has been serving as the Senior Priest at Hindu Temple Burnaby since 2012. Born in India and having spent much of his life in Kashi, he possesses deep expertise in Hindu scriptures, rituals, and spiritual teachings. With over 50 years of experience, Swamiji has mastered karmakanda, religious ceremonies, poojas, havans, kirtans, and bhajans, conducting these in Hindi, Sanskrit, and English. His role extends beyond temple services, as he actively educates and mentors devotees, guiding them in Hindu traditions, prayers, and self-realization. Swamiji’s pravachans (spiritual discourses) cover a vast array of sacred texts, including the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Brahmasutra, Shiv Puran, Ramayan, Srimad Bhagavatam, and Vedanta, offering profound insights into Hindu philosophy and spirituality.

Swamiji is a rare blend of scholar, musician, and yogic practitioner, often called a ‘Triveni’ for his mastery of shastras, classical music, and yogic practices like ‘Khechari’. With a Ph.D. in Performing Arts, he enriches his teachings with melodious Sanskrit verses, bhajans, and original poetry. He also plays a vital role in interfaith dialogue, community outreach, and spiritual counseling, visiting homes, hospitals, and prisons. Honored with awards like the Lata Mangeshkar Award, Swamiji continues to be a guiding force for faith, devotion, and cultural preservation.

 

Pandit Deepak Shastri Ji is a highly accomplished scholar in Sanatan Dharma, Vedic Karmakanda, and Astrology, holding a distinguished Shastri degree. With over 20 years of experience, he has devoted his life to spiritual guidance, religious ceremonies, and scriptural teachings, uplifting society through the profound wisdom of our sacred texts. His deeply engaging narrations of Bhagwat Katha and Durga Sat Chandi Path Yagya have touched countless hearts, fostering a strong connection to Hindu traditions and spirituality. Through his accessible and insightful teachings, Pandit Ji ensures that devotees of all ages and backgrounds can understand and embrace the essence of Sanatan Dharma.

Pandit Jitendra Kumar Babulal Joshi, lovingly known as Jitu Bhai, is a highly respected Vedic scholar and spiritual guide with over 15 years of experience in Hindu rituals and teachings. Born in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, he holds multiple advanced degrees in Sanskrit and Vedic studies, including a Shastri, Double Acharya, Sahityacharya, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Sanskrit. With profound expertise in the Shukla Yajurveda and Karmakand (Hindu rites and rituals), Pandit Ji has conducted over 1,975 Vedic ceremonies, including Pujas, Homas, Sanskar ceremonies (such as Namkaran, Upanayan, Vivah, and Antyeshti), and spiritual discourses.

Currently serving as the spiritual guide at Hindu Temple Burnaby, Respected Pandit Jitendra Kumar Ji brings his deep wisdom, humility, and devotion to the local community. In addition to ritual services, he offers astrology consultations and continues to share his knowledge through teaching and mentoring. A former professor at Shri Somnath Sanskrit University and mentor at Shri Ambika Sanskrit Study Center, Pandit Ji is deeply committed to preserving and spreading Vedic knowledge. His compassionate presence and dedication to tradition make him a cherished figure among devotees across generations.
